The Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has been accused by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, of dumping Senator Magnus Abe for lack of trust.

The APC chieftain stated this in a statement released on Tuesday.

Eze, alleged that after Wike used the former Rivers South-East Senator to play an ignominious role, ensuring that APC did not field candidates in Rivers State, he believed that Abe can also betray him as he allegedly betrayed the former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi.

He stated that the role played by Abe, “has kept him [Abe] in the political wilderness he has found himself today as Governor Nyesom Wike, who was the major beneficiary of his misguided and unfortunate’ role, has decided to keep him at bay to the extent of not appointing him into any cabinet office.”

“The leader of the external force that used him to ridicule APC in Rivers state has asked him to keep off his coast, stating that he if he could betray his own benefactor and mentor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the way he did, how can he (Abe) assure him that he will not betray him in future”.

He stated that he had counselled Abe not to betray his party and not ruin himself politically, but refused to yield to the wise counsel.

Eze further stated that Abe could still rediscover himself by apologizing to APC leaders that truncated the political plan of the party in the state.
