AFCON 2019: Super Eagles Arrive Egypt

Super Eagles players and officials have arrived at Alexandria In Egypt where they are expected to play in all their group fixtures at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team confirmed their arrival through its Twitter handle.

It said; “We have arrived safely and soundly in Alexandria, at our Helnan Palestine Hotel camp where we will stay all through the group phase of our #TotalAFCON2019 campaign,”

Afcon 2019: Guinea Coach Speaks On Loss To Egypt

Guinea coach Paul Put has expressed delight with his side despite the defeat to Egypt in their final Africa Cup of Nations preparatory game.

Guinea lost 3-1 to Egypt at the Borg El Arab Stadium on Sunday evening.

“In the first half we performed well and both sides were creating chances. But we gave Egypt a gift by giving them the chance to score the first goal,” Put said as per Kingfut.

“The game was becoming harder, however, the players performed really well against a huge and a candidate to reach the final.”

Egyptian star player, Mohamed Salah has reportedly rejected a €170m switch to Juventus.

However, it was said that Salah who signed a contract with English Premier League side, Liverpool about a year ago could consider the juicy move next summer.

In an exclusive story by The Mirror, Juve and Real Madrid were preparing £150m (€170m) bids for Salah.

The newspaper reports that the Egyptian will stay as ‘the timing is wrong’ for a departure now but warns he will consider his options next year, with his sights set on ‘one big final payday’.
