The Supreme Court of Nigeria has fixed Monday, June 16, to deliver judgment in the appeal filed by Ademola Adeleke against the election of Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State. The date to deliver ruling was sent to parties involved by the Registry of the Supreme Court.

2. Appeal Court Rules On Suit Seeking To Sack Gov Ihedioha

The Appeal Court, Owerri, has upheld the judgment of the Federal High Court which dismissed a suit filed by Senator Sam Anyanwu against Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State. Naija News reports that Senator Anyanwu is challenging the emergence of Ihedioha as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the 2019 election.

3. Tribunal Delivers Judgment On Petition Challenging Faleke’s Victory

An Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, has struck out an application challenging James Abiodun Faleke’s victory. Naija News reports that the Election Petition Tribunal struck out the application on Friday, June 14.

4. Election Petition Tribunal: WAEC Speaks On Candidate’s Certificate

The Kwara State Branch Controller of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Mr. Bamidele Amode has said he is yet to receive the original copies of the subpoena from the Lagos headquarters of the Council. He stated this on Thursday when he appeared as the star witness in the Kwara State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ilorin, the state capital.

5. Atiku Vs Buhari: Election Tribunal Takes Decision On Atiku’s Request To Access INEC Server

The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal has reserved judgment on the application by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar to be granted access to inspect the server and data of smart card readers used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Justice Mohammed Garba-led tribunal took the decision on Thursday after hearing parties involved in the petition.

6. Atiku vs Buhari: APC Makes ‘Huge Demand’ From Tribunal Over Atiku’s Citizenship

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has prayed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to strike out Atiku Abubakar’s petition against President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election on the ground that he is not a Nigerian by birth. Naija News reports that the ruling party made the demand on Thursday, June 13, before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal headed by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba.

7. PDP, Atiku Seek To Inspect INEC’s Server Against Buhari’s Election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate in the February 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday, prayed the Presidential tribunal to order the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to grant them permission to inspect the commission’s saver. 8. Presidential Election Tribunal: INEC Responds To PDP, Atiku’s Request To Access Server

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has dismissed claims of a server where results of the February 23 presidential election were uploaded. Naija News reports that the electoral commission made this known at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on Thursday while responding to an application by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar to inspect its servers.

9. Popular Herbalist Predicts Victory For PDP’s Atiku At Tribunal

A popular traditional medicine practitioner (herbalist) in Anambra State, southeast Nigeria, Igwe Onyeachonam Ofomba, has predicted that Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, in the 2019 general elections, will win at the tribunal. Naija News recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Muhammadu Buhari who participated in the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, winner of the February 23 Presidential election.
