The Appeal Court, Owerri, has upheld the judgement of the Federal High Court which dismissed a suit filed by Senator Sam Anyanwu against Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State.

Naija News reports that Senator Anyanwu is challenging the emergence of Ihedioha as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the 2019 election.

Senator Anyanwu had asked the court to declare him the real winner of the PDP primary election.

Justice Raphael Chikwe Agbo, while delivering ruling on Sunday, said Anyanwu did not convince the court on the prayers he sought.

According to Justice Agbo. the Appeal Court could not establish the fact in the former lawmaker’s claims and therefore dismissed the suit for lack of proof.
