The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped to 45th spot in the latest FIFA world ranking released by International Federation of Association Football.

This means Nigeria dropped down three places in the ranking released on Friday.

However, the Super Eagles remain third in Africa ahead of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Egypt.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s next opponent in an international friendly, Senegal, remained Africa best team in Africa and 22nd in the world, with Tunisia in second and 25th globally.
