The issuance of Certificate of Return to Former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, as the Senator representing Imo West in the National Assembly has come as a great surprise to some Nigerians while some regard it as a welcome development.
Naija News recalls that Justice Okon Abang of the Abuja High Court had ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue Okorocha his certificate of Return.
In a statement by his media aide, Sam Onwuemedo, the governor commended INEC for the ruling of the court and issuing him his certificate.
Here are the reactions Of Nigerians as follows
Not given okorocha the CoR is just a plot by the ruling APC to make him irrelevant and also make him less popular for 2023..
Why give him the CoR after the inauguration and all principal officers elected?
Okorocha I know wouldn't have backed down like Orji Kalu. It would have pic.twitter.com/cbYo4pCYhr

I think this a deliberate Act by INEC n APC! The National Assembly Election ? won’t have been peaceful if he had the certificate b4 today. He would have fought the party for the post of DSP!

It is now safe to say that it was all a deliberate and tactical move from @OfficialAPCNg to deny the south the leadership position of the house since this is coming moments after the selection. This is pathetic

Some of these senators are absolutely obsolete … they are of no use because they will not do anything for there respective districts and the people they represent dont demand accountability either .. Menn, Nigeria.. ?

This party doesn't believe in even distribution of power, this is like placing a time bomb within our walls. I cry for Eastern Nigeria
