Senator Ahmed Lawan has emerged winner of the 9th assembly Senate president, defeating his challenger, Ali Ndume. Naija News reports Lawan polled a total of 79 votes to emerge the winner.

2. Ovie Omo-Agege Emerges Deputy Senate President Of The 9th National Assembly

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has emerged the Deputy Senate President of the 9th National Assembly. He defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ike Ekweremadu during the election which took place on the floor of the Senate Chamber on Tuesday.

3. What APC Said After Omo-Agege Emerged Deputy Senate President Of The 9th Assembly

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Senator Omo-Ovie Agege on his emergence as the deputy Senate President for the 9th National Assembly. The party took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to react after Omo-Ovie Agege was declared the winner of the election which took place on Tuesday in the Senate chambers of the National Assembly.

4. Femi Gbajabiamila Emerges Speaker Of The House Representative

Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila has emerged winner of the 9th National Assembly speakership race. He secured 283 votes to defeat his only challenger, Umar Bago who garnered a paltry 76 votes.

New Senate President, Ahmed Lawan on Tuesday sworn-in the Senators-elect of the 9th Assembly. Lawan sworn-in the Senators in just a few hours after he emerged as the President of the Nigerian Senate to oversee the activities of the Ninth Assembly.

6. Presidential Election Tribunal Fixes Date To Hear Atiku’s Motion On INEC’s Server

The Presidential Elections Tribunal has fixed Thursday to hear a motion filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar seeking access to the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Tribunal also reserved ruling on nine applications it heard in respect to PDP and Atiku’s petition.

7. Atiku Vs Buhari: APC, Buhari Begs Presidential Election Tribunal

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari have asked the Presidential Election Tribunal to strike out the petition of Atiku Abubakar for being fundamentally defective. The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Buhari winner of the February 23 Presidential Election.
