Itse Sagay Speaks On The Endorsement Of Ndume, Bago By PDP

The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay, has stated that the endorsement of Senator Ali Ndume and Hon. Umar Bago by the Peoples Democratic Party to lead the ninth National Assembly is useless.

PDP had declared it’s support for Ndume and Bago as its preferred candidates to lead the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Sagay in his reaction stated that Senator Ahmad Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila will be victorious to render PDP’s declaration useless.

“In 2015, the APC was totally disorganised. In fact, on their way to the meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, that was when the election took place in the Senate.”

“So, with that bad experience behind, the APC lawmakers-elect are prepared very well for today’s election.”

“They are united and so whoever the PDP nominates will make no difference this time because some members of the PDP who will even join in electing APC nominees today,” he told Daily Independent.

Senator Lawan has emerged as the winner of the election for the position of the President of the Senate in the ninth National Assembly, Naija News reports.
