Fani-Kayode Reacts To Lawan’s Emergence As Senate President

The former minister of Aviation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Femi Fani-Kayode, has congratulated Senator Ahmed Lawan on his emergence as the President of the Senate.

Naija News had reported that Lawan was declared the winner of the election to the position of the Senate Presidency of the 9th National Assembly.

In the election which was presided by Mohammed Sani-Omolori on Tuesday saw Senator Lawan score 79 votes against Senator Ali Ndume who polled 29 votes.

The election was free and transparent at the inauguration of the 9th National Assembly.

Fani-Kayode in his reaction on Twitter wrote, “Congratulations to Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan who has emerged as Nigeria’s Senate President. May God guide you.”
