Benue State Election Tribunal: APC Governorship Candidate Emmanuel Jime To Know Fate Soon

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Emmanuel Jime is set to know his fate soon as the election tribunal has promised to commence sitting on June 24th, 2019.

Naija News recalls that Mr Jime and the All Progressive Congress (APC) had filed a petition challenging the re-election of Gov Samuel Ortom of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ortom of the PDP polled 434,473 votes in the governorship election of the state declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to defeat his closest rival, Jime of the APC who scored 345,155 votes.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has asked the chairmen of the 23 local government areas of the state to leave with their official vehicles when their tenure expires.

Naija News understands that the approval came after the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in a statement issued on Sunday requested Directors of General Services and Administration, DGSAs to allow chairmen to leave with the official cars.

According to the statement made by the Information Officer of Bureau Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ahangba Ayati said that the DGSA of the councils should comply with the directive
