The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal will recommence hearing on the petition filed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari today, Monday. During the sitting of the Tribunal, the justice that will replace the President of the Appeal Court, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, will also be made known.

2. Atiku Vs Buhari: PDP May Petition NJC Over Bulkachuwa

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that it may petition the National Judicial Council (NJC) over Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa refusal to name her replacement in the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal. Speaking to The Punch, the PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Diran Odeyemi, said Bulkachuwa’s replacement could have been announced within 24 hours after she recused herself from the tribunal.

3. Popular Herbalist Predicts Victory For PDP’s Atiku At Tribunal

A popular traditional medicine practitioner (herbalist) in Anambra State, southeast Nigeria, Igwe Onyeachonam Ofomba, has predicted that Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, in the 2019 general elections, will win at the tribunal. Naija News recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Muhammadu Buhari who participated in the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, winner of the February 23 Presidential election.

4. Atiku vs Buhari: Ex-VP Sends ‘Strong Message’ To Justices Ahead Tribunal Sitting

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed optimism that the Supreme Court and justices in Nigeria will allow “lady justice” have “full reign” when petitions are brought before them.
