Imo Lawmakers Defect To PDP

Less than two weeks after the inauguration of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as the new governor of Imo state, six lawmakers of the State Assembly has defected to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The lawmakers who were formerly members of the Action Alliance (AA) and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) announced their defection in a letter they addressed to the Speaker and read by the clerk of the House during plenary.

The AA lawmakers who defected to the PDP were Mike Iheanaetu (Aboh Mbaise), Victor Onyewuchi (Owerri West), Ken Agbim (Ahiazu Mbaise) Lloyd Chukwuemeka (Owerri North) and Bruno Ukoha (Ezinihittte Mbaise)

While Chiji Collins (Isiala Mbano), who is rumoured to be eyeing the position of Speaker of the Assembly, defected from APGA to PDP.
