1. Another Abacha’s £211m Loot Seized

The sum of £211,000,000 (N81.9bn) laundered by former Nigerian dictator, General Sani Abacha, has been seized from a bank in Jersey, Channels Islands by a British court.

A report monitored on UK Metro by Naija News, says the money was put in accounts held in Jersey by Doraville Properties Corporation, a British Virgin Islands company.

2. Muhammad-Bande Named As UNGA President

Amb. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande has been elected as the 74th UN General Assembly President

Naija News Understands that the election of Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations was never a surprise to the Nigerian presidency as he was elected through acclamation at the 87th plenary meeting of the Assembly in New York on Tuesday.

3. Workers’ Union Clarifies Talks On Payment Of N30,000 Minimum Wage

The organized labour has debunked talks going round that the Federal Government was not sincere enough to implement the N30,000 new minimum wage.

The President-General of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Mr Bobboi Kaigama, speaking on Monday in Akure during the fifth Triennial Delegates’ Conference of the Ondo State chapter of the union insisted that the new minimum wage as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari was not a scam.
