With the end tenure of the 8th National assembly, an unconfirmed presidential proclamation letter of the Ninth National Assembly has been seen earlier today. Naija News understands that letter purportedly from President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly has caused confusion, particularly over its authenticity. In the letter, Mr Buhari purportedly exercised his power of proclamation for the National Assembly to hold its first session.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has refused immediate past National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun‘s lashing out on its embattled leader, Adams Oshiomhole. Naija News recalls that Oyegun had attributed the internal wrangling in the party to Oshiomhole saying that “Oshiomhole fails because he lacks the temperament that is required to run a political party. The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state chapter has expelled Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa and two other for alleged anti-party activities. Marafa who is representing Zamfara Central in the outgoing 8th National Assembly was expelled alongside Hon Aminu Sani Jaji and Mal Ibrahim Wakkala Liman, The Nation reports.

4. Imo State: Suspend Okorocha’s Appointments, Use EFCC To Recover Stolen Funds – Lawmakers To Ihedioha

In what seem to be an invitation to the already tense atmosphere of the arrival of the new Imo state Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, lawmakers in the State House of Assembly today, asked the Governor to use the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and other anti-graft agencies in recovering state “looted funds, government properties including government house generator which was carted away.”

5. Why Obasanjo Is Very Much Against Buhari-Led Administration – APC Chieftain

An All Progressives Congress(APC)’s Chieftain, Chief Kachi Iheme, has blasted former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration was pursuing Fulani agenda in the country. While speaking with newsmen in a phone interview with newsmen, Iheme opined that Obasanjo’s aim is to blackmail and discredit Buhari’s government.
