President Muhammadu Buhari Friday observed Juma’at prayer at the Grand Mosque in Makkah in Saudi Arabia.
Naija News understands that President Buhari observed the prayers with other Heads of State and Government in the Holy City for the conference.
Buhari and his team observed the prayers ahead of the Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which is the main purpose of his visit to Saudi Arabia.
The 14th session of the Summit is expected to commence at midnight. The Conference of the OIC is hosted by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu made this known on Friday.
According to Shehu, shortly on his arrival in Makkah Thursday evening, President Buhari, accompanied by the Governors of Osun, Niger and Jigawa performed the Umrah.
