Governor Marries Predecessor’s Daughter Immediately After Swearing In

Yobe state governor, Mala Buni has tied the knot to a third wife shortly after his swearing in.

This time, he married Ummi Adama Gaidam, the daughter of his immediate past predecessor, Ibrahim Gaidam, who is currently studying in Saudi Arabia.

Ummi’s marriage to Buni might be to strengthen their political relationship.

Rumours are also circulating that the newly wedded bride would become the first lady of the state.

The low key wedding took place at the residence of the immediate past governor Mr Gaidam at Sabon Fegi area in Damaturu, the state capital, yesterday morning.

Naija News understands that the wedding was performed low key to avoid public criticism.

Ummi Adama Gaidam was married off to Mala Buni by an Islamic scholar, Sheik Abubakar Adam who is close to the two governors.
