Naira Marley Burst Into Tears Ahead Court Judgement

Fast-rising but popular Nigerian artiste, Naira Marley who is going through an ordeal in the hands of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, burst into tears ahead of the hearing of bail application on his matter.

Naira Marley who is currently being disciplined by the EFCC, broke his silence as he couldn’t bear the ordeal alone anymore.

The Nigerian artiste decried the way his so-called friends deserted him because of his challenge with the EFCC.

Naira Marley broke out in tears in a song he was reported to have released from prison which he titled “Why.”

The song is in no way different from what the artist is currently going through. With a drawl in his voice, the artiste used the opportunity to call out fake friends who only care about his activities on social media but don’t care about his real-life and personal ordeals.

“I just want to have some fun o / I swear this stress isn’t meant for me,”  the artiste re-emphasized in his song.

Recall that Naira Marley got himself into this mess by making comments twisted to be supporting the activities of internet fraudsters, fondly called ‘Yahoo Boys‘ in the country. However, the artist seems not to have learnt much of his lessons as he went ahead to also reference ‘Yahoo Boys‘ in his ‘Why.’

Meanwhile, all fingers seem crossed to await the High Court’s judgement today, Thursday, May 30, although most hopes are tilted towards a positive judgement, securing the safe release of the Nigerian artiste.

Naija News recalls that a popular and ace Nigerian musician, Daddy Showkey had come out openly to declare support for Naira Marley despite his ordeal, and called on appropriate authorities to secure the release of the artiste and give him a second chance.

Recall that Naira Marley was arrested earlier alongside his music counterpart, Zlatan Ibile and three others who were arrested in their home in Lagos on a day that Naira Marley had activated and sensitized his fan and lovers to celebrate his birthday with him on Friday, May 10.

Zlatan was released earlier alongside the three others on an administrative but Naira Marley was seized by the EFCC over alleged incriminating materials unravelled from his phone and laptop.

Naira Marley is currently facing an 11-count charge bothering on credit card fraud, cybercrime among others.
