Oluwaseyi Makinde Sworn In As The New Governor Of Oyo State

The newly sworn-in governor of Oyo state, Mr Oluwaseyi Makinde has promised to take total control of the state technical university (LAUTECH).

The Governor who made the promise as one of the key priority of his government also said the  secretariat bridge will now be known as “Freedom Bridge” and it’s open for everyone”

Explaining further the Governor said that

The bridge leading to the State Secretariat shall now be called FREEDOM BRIDGE. Everyone is free to use it. A public bridge built with Public resources should not be exclusively used by the Governor and his wife. ” — Gov. Seyi Makinde.

Governor Seyi Makinde has also cancelled development levy for all schools, declares totally free education. My government will be Pro-Private Investment.

Naija News learnt that Mr Makinde, flanked by his wife, Omini, and their children, took the oath of office at 12.17 p.m, while Mr Olaniyan took his earlier at 11.57 a.m.

At the ceremony were former governors of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose; Osun, Olagunsoye Oyinlola; and Oyo, Adebayo Alao-Akala.

Others are the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji; Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; Ayo Adebanjo; Biodun Olujimi; and Hosea Agboola.

The list also includes Bolaji Ayorinde, Jumoke Akinjide, and Micheal Koleoso among others.

After his swearing in, Mr Makinde inspected a guard of honour mounted by police personnel.

The deputy governor, Mr Rauf Olaniyan, took the oath also in the company of immediate family members including wife and children.
