Naija News had reported earlier that Buhari and Osinbajo took the oath of office on Wednesday morning Nigeria’s President and Vice President.
President Buhari who took the oath of allegiance today is to act in the capacity as President of Nigeria in piloting the affairs of the country.
In his oath of office, among others, President Buhari pledged to discharge his duties to the best of my ability, not allow his personal interest to influence his official conduct and abide by the code of conduct contained in the fifth schedule to the constitution Nigeria.
Moments, after the President took the oath of office, Nigerians took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to air their opinions on the inauguration.
Naija News captured some of the reactions below…
Behold the old mandate has expired and a new one has begun. This should have been @atiku and @OfficialPDPNig's day but you shamelessly stole it. Evil has an expiry date and every cruel act shall attract divine retribution! #Inauguration2019 #InaugurationDay #InaugurationTrend

But what is the essence of taking any oath when you don’t uphold the essentials of the oath taking? This is really unnecessary

Supposed all elected Nigerian Officials had decided to do away with all D inauguration bullshit & take their oath of Office in their offices, before their respective Chief Judges, in order to save up on huge inaugural expenses, on account of D "harsh times" Buhari is expecting
