Naija News had reported earlier that the Deputy National Chairman of the APC (North), Lawani Shuiab, had urged the former Labour leader to tender his resignation letter.
Reacting in a post on his Twitter handle, Fani-Kayode said the call for Oshiomhole’s resignation by the deputy chairman was ordered by somebody powerful.
He also expressed sorry for the former Edo State governor.
Fani-Kayode wrote: “When your Deputy publicly calls for you to step down you know that someone powerful and strategic is behind it.
“I feel sorry for my old friend and brother Adams Oshiomole.
“They have used him and now they want to dump him. Watch your back old friend: these guys don’t take prisoners.”
