Gov Ambode Handover To Babajide Sanwo-Olu

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, has officially handed over to the Governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, ahead of his inauguration on Wednesday, May 29th.

Sanwo-Olu’s emergence followed the decision of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party in the state to deny Ambode a return ticket.

Shortly after the handing over at the Government House, Alausa, on Tuesday, the governor-elect told newsmen that it “was a very private formal hand over’’.

APC Urges Lagosians To Support Incoming Governor, Sanwo-Olu

Ahead of the swearing in of the next executive governor of Lagos state on Wednesday, All Progressives Congress has urged residents to support Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Assistant Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Mr Abiodun Salami, made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Lagos State.

He said the party was sure that the administration of Sanwo-Olu would build on on the strides recorded in the state, but the cooperation of all was needed to enable the incoming government to succeed.

Tinubu: Group Backs Osinbajo To Succeed Buhari In 2023

The Save Lagos Group (SLG) has stated that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is more qualified the succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

In a statement to newsmen, the group convener, Adeniyi Sulaiman, also commended Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State over his stand on godfatherism widely believed to be against the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

SLG advised the national leader of the APC to drop his 2023 presidential ambition.
