Former Governor, Yari May Dump APC – Aminu Danbuba

Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State has dismissed rumours that he is plotting to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) after the judgement of the Supreme Court.

Speaking to newsmen, the embattled governor stated that since he was one of the founding fathers of the APC, he had no intention of dumping the party as demanded by some of his supporters.

“Former Governors of Lagos, Babatunde Fashola; Osun, Rauf Aregbesola; the Governor of Imo, Rochas Okorocha; the current Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, and I toiled hard to build this party.

“Therefore, I will not abandon the house I helped to build. The struggle has just started,” he said.

Naija News had reported that the Supreme Court dismissed an appeal challenging the nullification of the ruling APC primary elections in Zamfara state.

The nations final court also voided all votes cast for the party during the general elections.

The five-member panel of justices, in a unanimous judgment, held that the APC in Zamfara state failed to conduct primaries in accordance with the party rules.
