Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, has submitted his assets declaration form to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

This is coming a few days to the inauguration of his second term on May 29, 2019.

A statement by his senior special assistant on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu, said the asset declaration was in compliance with the requirements for all public office holders in the Nigeria constitution.

This statement said, “the documents were submitted to the Code of Conduct Bureau on Friday, May 24, 2019.”

“Gov Ishaku declared his assets in fulfilment of the requirements of the Nigerian Constitution and the Code of Conduct Bureau for public officers.”

Naija News had reported that the CCB gave public officers whose tenure expires on May 29 a deadline of May 28, 2019, to submit their end-of-tenure asset declaration forms.

However, members of the outgoing 8th National Assembly and other public servants that were inaugurated on June 9, 2015, have up till June 8, 2019, to declare their assets.

According to the constitution, those set to declare their asset include the President, Vice-President, President and Deputy President of the Senate, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Speakers and Deputy Speakers of state Houses of Assembly and all members of legislative houses.
