The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja will on June 24 hear a suit filed by Senate President Bukola Saraki contesting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)’s decision to investigate him.

The Federal High Court had last week ordered the EFCC and other agencies to halt corruption allegations investigation against the former Kwara State governor.

In Thursday’s hearing, Saraki’s counsel, Sunday Onobi toldĀ the court that he had served all parties in the suit with the processes of the court, including the order of the court.

Responding, the Solicitor-General of the Federation, Dayo Apata (SAN) also informed the court that he had filed a counter affidavit to the originating summons filed by the Senate President.

Chile Okoromma, counsel to the EFCC also told the court that he had filed a counter affidavit and a written address in response to the suit of Saraki.

Ruling, Justice Taiwo Taiwo said that parties should serve and reply to all processes and adjourned the matter until June 24.
