President Muhammadu Buhari has postponed his trip to Imo State to commission some projects that include a statue of him built by the State government.

The president was scheduled to visit Imo on Tuesday (Today), with his advance team of aides and journalists already in Owerri, the state capital.

In a statement to newsmen on Tuesday, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Sam Onwuemeodo, said the president’s visit was cancelled because Buhari was still in Saudi Arabia.

“Against the backdrop of this development, the scheduled visit of the president to Imo State for the commissioning of some key projects of Governor Rochas Okorocha on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 (today) has been postponed.”
