Atiku Under Attack Over Comment On National Grid Collapse

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has lamented the rising rate of suicide in the country.

Naija News reports that social media have been awash with reports of youths committing suicide, especially with a popular mosquito repellent, Sniper.

In a post on Twitter on Tuesday, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded election called on parents and the community to find a solution to depression among youths.

Atiku Abubakar described the rate at which youths take their own live as worrisome.

He wrote: “The rate of suicide among our youth is worrisome.

“I believe that as parents and community, we need to pay close attention for early signs of depression among our young people, particularly in this depressing times.”
