2019 UTME: JAMB Gives Update On Released Results

Few days after the 2019 UTME results were released, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, has noted that over 1.3 million candidates have been able to access their results using the code, 55019.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board’s head, Media and Information, stated this during an interview with NAN on Wednesday.

The statement came with respect to the report making rounds that the majority of candidates who participated in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination are yet to access their results through the given code.

JAMB Makes Stunning Revelation On 50 Naira Service Charge

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had debunked receiving a service charge of fifty Naira (N50) from candidates to access their results.

Naija News reports that the examination body described the news making the rounds as ‘malicious rumours.’

The board’s Head, Media and Information, Fabian Benjamin made this known in a statement obtained by Naija News on Wednesday.

Benjamin who revealed that over 1.3 million candidates have so far accessed their results using the result checker (code), 55019, said that the N50 service charge does not go to the purse of the examination body but rather the monies are credited to the network providers of the candidates.

MTN Sqeezes N44 Million From Poor JAMB Candidates (See Breakdown)

Reports reaching Naija News reveal that one of the leading network providers in Nigeria, MTN has made a whopping sum of over N44,429,900 from candidates who participated in the 2019 UTME that was conducted by JAMB.

Naija News reports that the network provider made away with the monies from the N50 service charge deducted from the candidates who accessed their 2019 UTME results through their phones and via the universal code “55019.”
