APC Tackles Adeleke Over Sack Of Local Council Chairmen, Others

A group called “Concerned PDP Members” have dragged the governorship candidate of the party in Osun State, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, to the Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State.

The new case was instituted by Mr. Ajayi Shuaib on behalf of himself and the group urging the court to determine whether the certificate presented by Adeleke to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was genuine.

In the suit, FHC/OS/CS/16/2019, the plaintiffs urged the court to determine the authenticity of Adeleke’s academic qualification, particularly whether the school testimonial he presented met the constitutional requirement of a secondary school certificate.

Joined in the fresh suit were the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and INEC as 2nd and 3rd respondents respectively.

According to the originating summons, Mr Shuaib, through his Counsel, Barr. Seyi Oyagbile sought for an interpretation of Section 182(1)(J) of the constitution in the case of the documents presented by Adeleke as his academic qualification to INEC.
