How Buhari Was Misled Into Reappointing Emefiele – Kazaure

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Muhammed Gudaji Kazaure (APC-Jigawa) has expressed his disappointment at the re-appointment of Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, the lawmaker said he believes President Muhammadu Buhari was misled by someone he trusts into reappointing a corrupt man.

Osun Gov’ship Election: ‘PDP’ Drags Senator Adeleke To Court

A group called “Concerned PDP Members” have dragged the governorship candidate of the party in Osun State, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, to the Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State.

The new case was instituted by Mr. Ajayi Shuaib on behalf of himself and the group urging the court to determine whether the certificate presented by Adeleke to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was genuine.

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, says the number one person creating problems in Nigeria is former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

Naija News reports that Oba Akiolu made the statement when participants of the Senior Executive Course 41 of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, visited him in his palace in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city on Wednesday.

National Assembly: Senate Presidency Not Do-or-die – Lawan

Ahead of the inauguration of the Ninth Senate and the election of a new Senate President, the Senate Leader, Dr Ahmad Lawan, on Wednesday said the battle for the exalted position is not a do-or-die affair.
