JAMB Reacts As Mmesoma Admits She Forged Her 2023 UTME Result

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says candidates are now free to check the results of the just concluded Unified Territory and Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Naija News reports that the examination board says that candidates who partook in the examination can now go ahead to also access the results of their UTME online.

The board’s Head, Media and Information, Fabian Benjamin stated this in an interview session obtained by Naija News on Wednesday night in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

According to him, already, over 1.5 million candidates that sat for the board’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) had accessed their results, using the result checker code, 55019 as at the time of filing this report.

Benjamin said that the board had already commenced the upload of the results to the portal, adding that they were now also free to go online, view and print their results.

“Candidates can now check their results on the portal.

“They must first log in their profile and then, click on ‘check UTME Examination Results’” he said.

The spokesman dismissed rumours that the result checker code (55019) was not functional, and also went ahead to debunk the rumours making the rounds and suggesting that the examination body was charging candidates a N50 service charge to access results, noting that the service charge goes to the purse of the service provider of the candidate and does not belong to the examination body.

Naija News reports that Benjamin had earlier gave a breakdown of how the network providers operating in Nigeria which include; MTN, Globacom, Airtel and 9Mobile made their monies through the service charge.

Recall that the board on Saturday, May 11, announced the release of the results, with over 1.8 million candidates who registered for this year’s UTME
