Former Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Jummai Alhassan, popularly known as Mama Taraba, has undergone a knee replacement surgery. The former women affairs Minister had on April 17, ahead of the procedure, urged friends and well-wishers to pray for her as she planned to undergo the surgery.

2. See What Is Left After Tiv Militia Attacks In Taraba State Communities

Calm is said to be gradually returning to Rafin kada and Kente in Wukari local government area of Taraba state after about 14 persons were killed by suspected Tiv militia, Daily Trust reports. The chairman of Wukari local government council, Mr. Adigrace Daniel, gave this information to newsmen today.

3. Fulani Herdsmen Attack Taraba Villages Kill Eleven, Displace Many

At least eleven persons are feared killed and scores injured when armed Fulani gunmen invaded their villages in Jalingo, capital of Taraba State. The Villages Murbai, Kisbap, Sembe, and Yawai – Abbare of Ardo-Kola, are located on the outskirts of Jalingo the state capital.
