The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Tuesday reserved judgment in the separate appeals by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the last governorship election in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke. The PDP and Adeleke are challenging the April 2, 2019 judgment by Justice Othman Musa of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Bwari.

2. Sen. Adeleke Speaks On Forgery Of His WAEC Certificate

Senator Ademola Adeleke, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)‘s candidate in the September 2018 governorship election in Osun State has today told the Court of Appeal in Abuja that he never forged the West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate he presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to secure clearance for the gubernatorial election.

3. Akpabio Vs Ekpenyong: Tribunal Fixes Date To End Pre-hearing

The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Akwa Ibom state has set May 13 to conclude pre-hearing on the petition seeking to nullify the election of Dr Christopher Ekpenyong as Senator-elect for Akwa Ibom North West. Chairman of the three-man panel, Justice W. O. Akanbi during pre-hearing session on Friday noted that owing to the nature of the case which is bound by timelines, it would be in the interest of the parties to allow them to proceed to the main subject of the case while the ruling on the preliminary objection will come as part of the final judgement of the tribunal.

4. Aliyu Vs Tambuwal: What Happened At Tribunal Today

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto State, Ahmad Aliyu, has called on the Election Petition Tribunal in the state to halt the order it granted the Peoples Democratic Party to invite forensic experts to inspect election materials used during the election. According to NAN, the state Governor and his party had been granted permission to invite forensic experts to inspect the materials by the Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Abbas Bawale.

5. Benue Election Tribunal: APC’s Appeal Lacks Merit, Ortom Says

Governor Samuel Ortom has filed his defence before the Governorship, National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Makurdi. Ortom, through Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General Mr Michael Gusa, raised preliminary objections and asked the court to strike out APC’s petition.
