Mama Taraba Undergoes Surgery (VIDEO)

Former Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Jummai Alhassan, popularly known as Mama Taraba, has undergone a knee replacement surgery.

The former women affairs Minister had on April 17, ahead of the procedure, urged friends and well-wishers to pray for her as she planned to undergo the surgery.

On Monday, the politician took to her official Twitter handle @SenAishaAlhassn, to confirm that the surgical operation went well and that she is getting better already.

In her Tweet, she said; “Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah!! Alhamdulillah!!! My surgery was a success and I’m getting much much better everyday.

“Thank you all for prayers, family, friends and all concern Nigerians. Nagode sosai sosai.”

The former minister, however, did not disclose her location.

Recall that the former minister had dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC), after failing to clinch the gubernatorial ticket, and joined the United Democratic Party (UDP).

She was the minister of women affairs under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration between 2015 and 2018. She had resigned as the Minister of Women Affairs of Nigeria on July 27th, 2018.
