The Lawsuit filed against the founder of DAAR Communications Plc, Raymond Dokpesi, by the Federal Government was on Thursday stalled at the Federal High Court, Abuja due to the absence of his counsel, Kanu Agabi.

Dokpesi is been charged by the Federal Government of alleged money laundering to the tune of N2.1 billion.

At the resumption of the hearing, the court was informed that Agabi was bereaved when Dokpesi was about to enter for his defence.

Oluwaleke Atolagbe, the prosecuting counsel, informed the court that the matter had been adjourned for Dokpesi to open his defence on Feb. 20.

He stated that defence did not go on because his counsel, Agabi had written to the court that he was bereaved and could not be in the court.

The trial judge, Justice John Tsoho, adjourned the matter until July 2, since the prosecutor did not object to an adjournment.
