Again, Buhari Meets Service Chiefs, Others (See Why)

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Abuja received briefing from service chiefs including the acting Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu and heads of other security agencies.

Naija News understands that the Thursday’s meeting with the service chiefs comes after the President had earlier met with the security chiefs and heads of security agencies at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Tuesday.

Gov. Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi also briefed the security meeting on Tuesday.

Those at the meeting on Thursday included the Minister of Defence, retired Brig.-Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali; National Security Adviser, retired Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno; Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi and the Director-General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufa’i.

Others were the Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

Although, the outcome of the meeting is yet to be ascertained, Naija News understands that the purpose of the meeting cannot be unconnected to finding a lasting solution to the security challenges in the country.
