Members of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State have been warned against any act of indiscipline in the party.
The Ondo State APC chairman, Ade Adetimehin, while giving the warning at the party’s secretariat in Akure noted that no one is bigger than the party.
The warning was released in a statement released by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye.
In the statement, he stated that the APC chairman challenged party members to work together in the interest of the party.
Kalejaye stated that the state chapter of the party would not condone any act of indiscipline from its members.
He claimed that the party chairman stated this when he was visited by the delegation of leaders of various political parties from Akure North Local Government Area, who hinted on their plan to defect to the ruling party.
“The party is bigger than any individual or group. I expect, therefore, that everyone must subject himself to the dictates of the party for its overall development.”
He stated that the strength of every political party lies in the ability of its members to achieve the interest of the party.
“We must learn to work together and observe the laid down organisational ways of doing things,” he stressed.
He called on party faithful to be stable in their political life, and “always learn how to fight a system within the system”.
