Guru Maharaj Ji Tells Buhari To ‘Draft’ Sex Workers Into Nigerian Army
Naija News reports that the clergyman gave this advice over the weekend, during the 32 years anniversary to celebrate the establishment of his spiritual centre.
Maharaj Ji, who identifies himself as the living perfect master and saviour of the universe, further called for the ban of sex workers, cigarette and alcohol companies in Nigeria.
“Sex workers should be drafted into army. They should give them employment there. Alcoholic drinks must not be sold in the public anymore, except you go to a hotel,” he said.
Naija News reports that Maharaj Ji’s call is coming after a mobile court in sitting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, sentenced 27 women to three month in prison for prostitution.
The convicts, who were arrested during a raid at a night club in Abuja by the security agents, were, however, given an option of ₦3,000 fine each.
Jennifer Ogbogu, a lawyer to the sex workers, explained that the sex workers pleaded guilty to the charges against them and were summarily convicted and sentenced.
“The ladies were arraigned before the mobile court for prostitution and were each sentenced to three months in jail with an option of ₦3,000 fine. We have just paid the fine and all of them have been released from custody,” Ogbogu.
