EFCC Parades 13 Yahoo Boys In Edo

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 13 middle-aged men, suspected to be internet fraudsters, popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys.

Naija News understands that the suspects were arrested at their hideout during an early morning raid at Uromi community in Edo state.

The suspects between the age of 20-35 years were smoked out from where they were hiding in a hotel at Uromi.

While parading the suspects, the anti-graft agency said that they were arrested on Saturday, May 4.

23 set of phones, three laptops were recovered from them alongside three luxury cars, Lexus R330, C300 4 Matic and GLK 350 4Matic.

The raid which was sequel to series of intelligence gathering by operatives of the zone, is in line with the directive of the acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, to rid the state and indeed the entire country of internet fraud and cybercrime.
