Yahaya Bello’s Achievements As Kogi Governor Unveiled

Kogi East Development Forum (KEDF), a socio-economic group, has commended Yahaya Bello, the Kogi State Governor, for huge investment in infrastructural development across the state.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Muhammed Nasir, during the week, the group said the Kogi governor has executed about 100 infrastructural projects scattered all over the 21 local government areas of Kogi despite the paucity of fund.

According to the group, Governor Bello has given the state facelift through the construction of new roads, building bridges, installation of street lights in Lokoja, renovate State House of Assembly and electrification of many communities.

The group listed Some achievements of the Kogi governor to include:

• Ajaka – Idah Road
• Ibana- Okpo Road
• Ogugu-Ette Road, Olamaboro
• Ayingba – Umomi Road
• Akpagidigbo – Ugwolawo Road
• Ankpa Township Road
• Construction of Mount Patti Road
• Remodelling of Kogi Hotels, Lokoja
• Construction of 10.7km, Agasa-Ukpogoro Road.
• Construction of 8.5km, Ogaminana/Ebogogo/ Total junction through Eika Itakpe Road.
• Construction of 12.8km, Ebiya Kpatesi/Ogigiri Road.
• Construction of 21km, Obeira Okengwe/ Obangede Road.
• Rehabilitation of Idah/Ajaka/Umomi/ Ejule Road.
• Construction of Oguma/Sheria Road/Bridge Bassa LGA.
• Constructions of Ganaja/Otokiti dual carriageway by pass Road.
• Construction of embankment along Kpata/Marine/Kabawa Lokoja.

Apparently excited with the governor’s achievements, the Kogi East Development Forum, therefore, pledged to mobilise support for Governor Bello’s re-election in the forthcoming November 2 governorship election in Kogi state.
