Two Dies As FRSC Patrol Vehicle Rams Into Shop In Bauchi

Multiple crashes on the old Onitsha-Enugu expressway have on Friday left at least two persons injured.

Naija News reports that the crashes were said to have involved four vehicles on the expressway and involved four persons, including three male and one female.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Anambra, confirmed the multiple crashes in the state while speaking in a statement obtained by Naija News in Awka, the Anambra state capital.

The Sector Commander of the commission in the state, Andrew Kumapyi gave the identities of the vehicles involved as; a tipper with registration number GDD 110 ZN, a Mercedes Benz with registration number NSH 620 PH, a Mitsubishi L300 bus with CH 259 KTU and a Golf with registration number 0AJ 122 ZAR.

Kumapyi said the injured victims sustain varying degrees of injuries.

He said that the injured persons have since been taken to the General Hospital in Enugu Ukwu, for medical attention and are responding to treatments.
The sector commander attributed the crash to the tipper’s alleged brake failure.
