1. Atiku Vs Buhari: PDP Accuses INEC Of Replacing Server

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of replacing all the servers in its headquarters and offices in all states of the federation and Abuja.

In a statement issued on Monday by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP also alleged that the frenzy activity was in a desperate bid to obliterate the actual Presidential election results transmitted from the polling centres across the nation.

2. APC Elders Petition Buhari, Insist Yahaya Bello ‘Unfit’ For Second Term

Stakeholders of the Kogi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, have petitioned President Muhammadu Buhari, demanding that the governor of the state, Yahaya Bello, should not be given a second term.

Naija News that the APC Elders claimed that Governor Bello received about N344billion in the last 38 months of his stewardship, without doing anything with the allocations.

3. NIS Begins New Nigerian Passport Regime

The process for the issuance of the new 10-year validity enhanced passport booklet has been commenced by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) today, as parts of comprehensive reform, approved by the Federal Government in January.

Comptroller-General of the Service, Mr Muhammad Babandede, said this at the ceremony held at the NIS Headquarters, Abuja.

4. Zamfara Gov Warns Of Another Imminent Recession In Nigeria

Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State has warned that another circle of recession will come by mid-2020.

He made this known on Monday during the opening of the three-day retreat for returning governors and governors-elect in Abuja.

5. Finally, Akpabio, Amaechi Meet, Agree To Work Together For APC

Two chieftains of the All Progressives Congress in the South-South region, Rotimi Amaechi, and Godswill Akpabio have met and agreed to work together for the progress of the party in the region.

According to information gathered by Naija News correspondent, the two leaders met on Sunday in Abuja and agreed to put aside their individual differences.

6. Nigeria’s Population Now 201m – UN

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) says Nigeria’s population has hit a staggering high of 201 million.

7. Induction: New/Returning Governors Meet In Abuja

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Secretariat has commenced an induction program for newly-elected and returning governors in Abuja.

The programme is being held at the Banquet Hall, at the Presidential Villa.

The induction is being attended by the newly-elected governors and the outgoing ones.

8. APC, Presidency Wants To Vacate 1999 Constitution – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Presidency are plotting to vacate Nigeria’s constitution.

In a statement on Monday by the spokesman for the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s private ten-day trip to London without transiting power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, as required by the constitution, was an act of dereliction.

9. Lawmakers Want Secret Ballot For National Assembly Election

Two members of the House of Representatives on Sunday said the standing rules of the National Assembly should not be disregarded in deciding the mode of election of presiding officers of the 9th National Assembly.

NAN reported that the lawmakers – Rimamnde Shawulu (Peoples Democratic Party-Taraba) and Kehinde Agboola (PDP-Ekiti)– made the remarks in separate interviews in Abuja.

10. UK Visist: Why Buhari Failed To Notify NASS, Hand Over To Osinbajo – Presidency

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has stated that his principal can perform his functions from anywhere in the world.

He made this known while responding to claims by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that Buhari did not write to the National Assembly, to inform them of his trip to the United Kingdom or transfer power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
