What Kachikwu Discussed With Top Oil Executives From Saudi Arabia

The details of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu’s meeting with top executives of the National Oil Company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has emerged.

Naija News understands that the minister met with the executives in Dhahran to crystallize ongoing discussions on collaborating with Nigeria on investments in the oil & gas sector.

Kachikwu, who was received by the President and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco, Amin H. Nasser and top management of the conglomerate, highlighted areas of shared investment interests and existing viable investment options in the midstream and downstream sector.

The Ministry of Petroleum Resources released the details of the meeting in a series of tweets.

The Ministry said the: “Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. @IbeKachikwu today met with top executives of the National Oil Company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, @Saudi_Aramco in Dhahran to crystallize ongoing discussions on collaborating with Nigeria on investments in the oil & gas sector.

“This comes on the heels of the strategic value meeting held yesterday with the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. @Khalid_AlFalih to cement the budding interest to support Nigeria’s Infrastructure Development in the Oil Sector.

“Dr. @IbeKachikwu who was received by the President and Chief Executive Officer of @Saudi_Aramco, Amin H. Nasser and top management of the conglomerate, highlighted areas of shared investment interests and existing viable investment options in the midstream and downstream sector.

“In appreciation of the high level of technological advancement of the National Oil Company (@Saudi_Aramco), Dr. @IbeKachikwu lauded the various showcased technologies that create more value and maximize created value, as he embarked on a guided tour of the Saudi Aramco facility.

“The exploratory partnership visit ended with a firm acceptance by @Saudi_Aramco to quicken finer conversations with Nigerian firms across the entire oil and gas value chain, especially @NNPCgroup for mutually beneficial gains,” it added.
