Nigerians React To Buhari's 'Private Visit' To UK

A storm of reactions by Nigerians has greeted President Muhammadu Buhari’s proposed “private visit” to the United Kingdom (UK).

Naija News had reported earlier that the President will later today depart Nigeria for the UK on what the Presidency tagged a “private visit.”

According to the Presidency, President Buhari will return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019.

“Further to the official visit by President @MBuhari to Lagos Wednesday where he commissioned a number of projects executed by @followlasg the President is scheduled to depart for Maiduguri, the Borno State capital for another official visit Thursday.

“He is expected to commission developmental projects, especially in education, healthcare and roads. At the end of the visit to Borno State, President @MBuhari will be proceeding to the United Kingdom on a private visit. He is expected to return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019,” the Presidency said in a statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday.

Moments after the news went viral, Nigerians took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to air their opinions on the President’s proposed “private visit” to the UK.
