Unsurprisingly, Manchester City won the derby against United rivals 2-0, and jumped to the Premier League leadership, being one step away from writing history.
In a game late on the 31st day of the competition, Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for the outsiders in the 54th minute with a left-footed shot following a Gundogan pass.

A few minutes later, Leroy Sané widened the citizens’ advantage. Sterling started on the right side of the attack and unsealed the German extreme on the left side. David de Gea still touched the far end of the box but did not stop the goal.
