UK Reacts To Killing Of Briton In Nigeria

The government of the United Kingdom has reacted to the killing of its citizen, Miss Faye Mooney, in the recent attack on Kajuru castle in Kaduna state.

Recall Naija News had reported the killing of 2 people and the kidnap of another three in an attack by gunmen on the Kajuru castle in Kaduna State on April 19.

The attackers have reportedly demanded a ransom of N60m for the release of those kidnapped.

Also, Daily Post in an earlier publication, confirmed that the Police Command in Kaduna State identified the expatriate killed by suspected kidnappers in Kajuru as Miss Faye Mooney, a Briton.

Reacting, the UK government in a tweet on its official Twitter handle @UkinNigeria, the government said it was aware of the tragic incident, adding that the next-of-kin to the deceased has been notified.

The tweet reads, “We are aware of the tragic incident involving the death of a British national in Kaduna State on Friday. The next-of-kin has been notified.

“The British High Commission offers our most profound sympathies and condolences to the families and friends at this difficult time.”
