2023 Elections: Tinubu Speaks On Contesting Presidency
The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has dismissed reports that he is planning to strengthen his presidential ambition by planting his allies in key positions at the national assembly.
President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the ruling party have endorsed Ahmed Lawan as Senate president and Femi Gbajabiamila as speaker of the house of representatives. An ally of Tinubu, Gbajabiamila was elected into the lower legislative chamber of the national assembly during the second term of the APC leader as governor of Lagos state.

Elections Tribunal: I’m A Nigerian – Atiku Tells APC
he Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has dismissed claims that he is not a Nigerian by birth and was not qualified to seek to occupy the office of the President.
The PDP candidate had gone to court to challenge the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari, his APC rival at the poll.But the ruling party told the presidential election petitions tribunal that Atiku is not a Nigerian by birth and thus, not qualified to run for president, going by the provisions of the 1999 constitution.
Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Attacks ‘Ignorant’ Keyamo
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has slammed Festus Keyamo for saying that WAEC certificate is not a prerequisite to becoming president in Nigeria.

APC Speaks On Suspending Gov Akeredolu1
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied reports that it has suspended Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State over alleged anti-gay party activities. Reports had emerged that the governor has been suspended by the party after failing to respond to the query issued to him by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
However, speaking with Sunday Independent, Lanre Issa- Onilu, the party’s National Publicity Secretary said he was not aware that Akeredolu has been suspended as claimed.
UTME 2019: JAMB Speaks On Release Of Results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has spoken on the release of the results of the 2019 Unified Territory and Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Naija News understands that the examination board said that the results ‘are all ready’ and that the more than 1.2 million candidates that sat for the examination from April 11 to April 18 will be contacted via their phones once the results are ratified.The spokesman for the examination body, Fabian Benjamin, made this known on Sunday in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari should not have contested the 2015 and 2019 Presidential elections in Nigeria because he lacks the required qualifications to run for such a post.
Kanu made this comment during a live broadcast on Radio Biafra on Saturday. The broadcast focused on the qualifications required to run for the post of the President in Nigeria.
This online news platform reports that the broadcast of the IPOB leader was in reaction to comments made by Festus Keyamo (SAN), that one does not necessarily need a WAEC certificate to become President of Nigeria.
