Some unknown gunmen on Saturday killed a female expatriate, a Nigerian and have gone ahead to abducted three others in the Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state.
Naija News understands the suspects were armed with dangerous weapons and invaded the Kajuru Castle Resort at about 2pm on Saturday.
The gunmen who attacked the area were said to have opened fire, shooting sporadically and killed two persons, including a female expatriate in the process. Haven killed two persons, the gunmen whisked away three others captives.
Spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, Yakubu Sabo confirmed the incident in a statement, saying that investigation had already commenced to bring the perpetrators of the crime to book.
The Spokesman said that the victims along with 12 others came from Lagos on a tour, and they organised a party at the Castle located at the Hill Top during which the incident happened.
Sabo said that the organizers of the party failed to inform the police to provide adequate security coverage for them as that has been the tradition due to the insecurity in the area.
He assured that the Police is doing its best to rescue the kidnapped persons and criminals as intensified efforts are already in place to achieve that.
In a deliberate attempt to curb the recent insecurity matters in Kaduna state, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recently met with the Nigeria Police, Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies to bring a lasting solution to the criminal activities along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
