Kolade Johnson Buried Amidst Tears

Kolade Johnson, the football fan shot and killed by the police has been buried by friends and family members.

Recall Johnson was shot dead by policemen from the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Lagos State Police Command about 3 weeks ago.

The incident, Naija News learned, occurred when an unmarked commercial bus visited Mangoro/Onipetesi community in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, on 31st March in search of youths dressed wildly and rocking dreadlocks.

In an attempt to disperse a crowd which had gathered during the raid, one of the police operatives shot dead Johnson, who was trying to leave the scene after watching English Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham.

His death sparked reactions all over the country and there were renewed calls for the #endsars campaign as well as a reform of the Police Force in general.

Tears flowed freely in the burial video as reported by Punch.
