NYSC Has Not United Nigeria - Shehu Sani Tackles Scheme's DG

Senator Shehu Sani (PRP-Kaduna Central) has called on security agencies to investigate the conduct of University lecturers in the 2019 general election.

Naija News recalls that the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega, faulted the conduct of some university lecturers during elections.

While speaking at the annual conference of the Fulbright Alumni Association of Nigeria at Bayero University Kano (BUK), Jega alleged that politicians used university lecturers to commit irregularities during the elections, especially in Kano state.

He said the BUK lecturers who worked with politicians to perpetrate ‘all sorts of irregularities’ betrayed the confidence reposed on them by compromising the electoral process.

Reacting in a post on Twitter, Shehu Sani urged anti-corruption agencies to investigate University lecturers for election rigging.

“The complicity of University lecturers in rigging elections should be well investigated by anti-corruption agencies in line with the issues raised by Professor Jega,” he said.
