Presidency Replies Omotola

The Presidency has given a response to legendary Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde on her claims that Nigeria is ‘hellish’ under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Recall as previously reported by Naija News, Omotola, in a post on her Twitter page on Monday lamented the state of the country under President Buhari’s administration, calling out both the President and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

She wrote: “The Country Under your watch is Hellish! @ProfOsinbajo @MBuhari

“The lack of Money in circulation, now coupled with the continuous Assault and killings by uniformed men. Will make this Country implode! It’s Unbearable

“Do something! Insecurity! Fear and Desperation everywhere.”

However, in a direct and specific response, Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant on new media to President Buhari, stated in a tweet on Monday that those who were making money legitimately have no complaint about the current state of Nigeria, adding that legitimate money is still in circulation.

He wrote: “Madam Omotola those who are working for CLEAN money are not complaining and will never refer our dear country as ‘hellish’. In Kano State alone, from 2015 to 2018, no fewer than 200 medium and small scale rice milling centres emerged. For that, billions circulated among millions.”
